Social media empire seeks an experienced professional to support the company's public policy and government relations. Candidates should demonstrate experience in state public policy, political engagement, and issue advocacy and have a strong understanding of internet, technology, and economic development policy. A self-motivated team player will thrive in this role. Role is onsite in Washington, DC.
salary: $30 - $33.5 per hour

Responsibilities
Executive Branch US Policy Responsibilities
Prepare strategy memos, messaging, and collateral for targeted distribution within policy, communications, and other cross-functional partners.
Represent organization with government officials, policy makers, civil society, and industry on important policy matter and provide updates about meetings to other staff.
Help facilitate communications and carryout administrative tasks related to consultants.
Help coordinate discussions between global, regional, functional and the U.S. policy team on issues of greatest priority, both reactive and proactive, with a focus on how U.S. Policy can help advance policy goals.
Advise internal teams on public policy matters to guide development of products, services, and policies.
Support outreach to Government, Congress, non-profit organizations, and other entities.
Partner with senior team members on a wide range of projects.
Support Facebook's public policy and communications activities.
