About the role
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you’ll provide knowledge and experience on complex mechanical engineering issues and create solutions to a wide range of complex technical issues. You will be responsible for carrying out a variety of Mechanical engineering to the agreed schedule, quality and cost constraints. Works closely with all associated functions to ensure final engineering deliverable meets project, customer and business requirements. Core Responsibilities
Provides Mechanical Design expertise on complex mechanical assignments
Works to meet appropriate level of engineering standards whilst ensuring compliance with customer specifications and governing code requirements
Creating project/job pack documentation
Perform mechanical component development, selection and integration whilst using CAD concepts
Incorporates design for manufacturing and assembly in all our designs
Co-ordinate other engineers within the team on day to day activities
About You
Minimum Qualifications - Required Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Preferred Masters Degree or equivalent experience
8 + Years of experience in Mechanical Engineering, analysing complex mechanical assemblies and specifications
Has strong knowledge in the principles Mechanical Design (non-software assisted).
Has a strong understanding of materials (Austenitic, super austenitic, duplex, super duplex, high nickel, Ti).
A solid understanding of Welding methods and weld design for pressure vessels and structures.
Has a strong understanding of FEA (linear and non-linear structures).
Has a strong understanding of FEA (thermal / static structural, Optimisation, transient, buckling, etc).
