Basic Job Functions:

The Safety/Environmental Coordinator will work to promote and enhance the safety and environmental processes. This person will be responsible for developing, organizing,leading, and maintaining the records of safety and environmental training. Other responsibilities include: co-authoring safety/operating and environmental procedures; auditingplant conditions and teammate actions; compiling, analyzing and reporting safety and environmental metrics; ensuring the division is in compliance with federal guidelines;participating in corporate initiatives. In addition, this person will work with outside auditors and government inspectors as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. 4-year college degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related discipline OR 2 years of safety related experience in an industrial environment2. Ability to be on call 24/7 and travel as required3. Supervisor and manager recommendation4. Teammate must be in Good Standing

Preferences:

1. Experience as a safety or environmental coordinator2. Safety/Emergency services certification3. OSHA and VPP experience
