S ummary

Lead system engineering efforts to implement and maintain CBTC. Work with project teams a n d O&M through the project life cycle to deliver exce l lent CBTC solution s .

Responsibilities

Lead configuration management for CBTC programs .

Work with Discipline Managers and other stakeholders to lead the development of requirements for new p r ograms and pilot projects.

Manage staff responsible for the design oversight of CBTC projects.

Manage staff responsible for reviewing design submittals and RFIs and provide input following specifications.

Lead test and integration efforts at the system level.

L ead development of CBTC competency at the system level within the MTA .

Lead RAM program plan to improve RAM metrics.

E d ucation and Experience

Bachelor ' s degree in Engineering, Computer Science Architecture, Construction or Project Management, Business Administration, Transportation, or a related field.

Must have a minimum of fourteen (14) years of related train control & CBTC Engineering experience .

Must have a minimum of ten (10) years of management or supervisory role in a large, multi-faceted organization.

Technical expertise in testing and commissioning of CBTC systems.

Comprehensive knowledge of CBTC Requirements and Design Criteria.

Knowledge of System engineering, RAMS, and configuration management.

Competencies:

Excellent Analytical Skills , including statistical analysis.

Excellent computer skills

Licensed Professional Engineer or Registered Architect desirable.

PMP and CCM Certifications are preferred.

Significant experience in Program management for major construction Programs with highly complex systems preferred.

Experience leading and managing contractors, subcontractors, or vendors.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with stakeholders at all internal organizational levels .

Demonstrated ability to work in a high - profile, high - pressure environment effectively.

Must have focus and ability to deliver results, organizational effectiveness, and continuous improvement.

Must be a proven leader as a change agent and creative/innovative thinker with the ability to align business goals with solutions to drive process improvements.

Must possess excellent team - building , listening, problem - solving, and prioritization skills.
