Manufacturing Test Engineer

We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Test Engineer to join our team in Kirkland, WA.  This role is full-time in-office. The pay range is $114,000-$123,000/year DOE.

Primary Function:

The Manufacturing Test Engineer is responsible for designing and validating test platforms for wearable electronics and defining critical system requirements for cutting edge products.

Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities:

  • Comfortable interfacing with WiFi/BT, cellular, GNSS systems.

  • Strong skill set around developing test scripts in python to interface with hardware.

  • Familiarity with bench top test equipment to interface with hardware prototypes.

  • Work across various engineering teams to come up with engineering system requirements and develop novel concepts / prototype / test platforms.

  • Lead /collaborate cross-functionally within the engineering community with ME, EE, OE, FW, SW to deliver system functionality.

  • Troubleshoot and debug prototypes / test platforms, identify and root cause performance issues working with other hardware, software and firmware teams.

  • Scope, schedule and organize test platform development / validation in a timely manner.

  • Document procedures, setups, and experimental results, with strong attention to detail.

  • Follow Business Technology policies to protect sensitive data and reduce information security occurrences.

    Education and Experience: (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience

  • Test platform development and sustainment of hardware prototypes

  • Strong written and verbal English language communication skills.

  • Excellent teamwork/interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively.

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, both within and outside one's own work group.

  • Basic knowledge of thermal design/transfer, thermal interface materials.

  • Knowledge of test system architecture.

  • Knowledge of developing SQL queries for large datasets.

  • Demonstrate commitment and adherence to SIGMADESIGN Core Values.

  • Pass a post-offer background verification.

    Work Environment

    Standard office environment with normal amounts of office related conditions. Occasionally may be required to work in environmental conditions that emulate typical user environments in order to facilitate design testing and validation.  Occasionally may be required to travel as required to other facilities, clients, or suppliers.
