A Mechanical Design Engineer is needed for one of the world's largest suppliers of aerospace and defense products in the Everett, WA area. The role involves serving as the engineering representative within an aircraft lavatory Integrated Project Team, overseeing new product development, sustaining activities, and coordination with various disciplines.

work hours: 8am to 4pm

responsibilities:

• Understanding design requirements and how they can be met.

• Develop new detailed components and subassemblies.

• Generate new design options to meet customer requirements and see them through purchasing, testing, and operations.

• Conduct and support internal design reviews.

• Provide technical data support during customer meetings.

• Publish parts lists.

• Conduct peer reviews of models and drawings.

Skills:

• Experience in commercial aircraft interior design.

• strong engineering skills in structures, mechanisms, and systems.

• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Interpretation of 2D drawings including understanding GD&T and performing tolerance stackups.

• strong Microsoft Office skills.

• Perform other related duties as required.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.

• With 5-7 years of related experience in product design, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
